Things I Learned This Summer

1. Time really does fly when you're having fun... with kids, with family, with friends!

2. Traveling with a 4 year old and a 2 year old is MUCH easier than traveling with a 7 month old and a 2 year old.

3. Portable DVD players are a wonderful thing....

4. Having the neighborhood kids to join us in trips to Target, the grocery store, Fred Meyers, is just fine and makes your life a TON easier. (And, really, IS a wonderful thing)!!

5. Mommy time is important- drinks with friends, pedicures, and shopping sprees are a necessity.

6. Mommy AND Daddy time is equally as important... and taking advantage of the teenagers down the street to babysit is NOT a bad thing. At All.

7. Daddy time is important, too... I think! (I guess...!)

8. Being a Mommy is the HARDEST thing ever but also the BEST thing ever.

9. Maintaining some sort of schedule over the summer is good for everyone... and will help come back to school time.

10. I am SO lucky to have kids that go to bed reasonably early.. and sleep in reasonably late!

11. You know you're old when your 2 year old sees a telephone booth and asks "What is that crazy thing?"

12. Positive communication, honesty, remaining calm, and being a consistent parent team with your spouse can go a LONG way... and just makes everyone happier!!

13. I CAN do a Big6/Super3 presentation on my own... and do a GREAT job with nothing but positive feedback!!

14. John Hay is the BEST place to work and I am so lucky to have such a wonderful staff!!! (And the best roommates ever!!!)

15. Private tutoring = A lot of money!!!!

16. Life is good!
